        ● Since Sept.1st, 2010, Dr. Cordes has been doing ImPact Testing

             -Immediate Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing

                for athletes of all ages. The ImPact test is the first,

                most-widely used, and most scientifically validated

                computerized concussion evaluation system which is used as

                a standard tool in comprehensive clinical management of

                concussions. The ImPact test is recommended for all children

                that play contact sports.

Fireworks Safety...American Academy of Pediatrics

     (AAP) urges families Not to Buy Fireworks

      Fireworks Safety 2009

           Each year, about 10,000 people are treated in emergency

              departments for injuries from consumer fireworks.

              The AAP and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA),

              with the Alliance to Stop Consumer Fireworks, urge families

              not to buy fireworks for their own or their children’s use.

              Even “sparklers” can become extremely hot and burn children.

              A series of video public service announcements is available

              through NFPA. The AAP also has “A Minute for Kids” radio 

              spot about the dangers of fireworks.
