We work hard to not overuse antibiotics.
We educate families on appropriate use of antibiotics, but follow evidence-based guidelines and don’t automatically treat ear pain or a green snotty nose with antibiotics.
We do not routinely prescribe antibiotics over the phone as we do not believe that is good medicine. We will prescribe an antibiotic when we believe it is an appropriate treatment.
Everyone's Time is Equally Valuable.
We ask that you arrive 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. We understand sometimes things happen beyond your control that may cause you to be late. However, we reserve the right to ask you to reschedule if you arrive late for your appointment.
Our practice makes every effort to run on time with appointments, as we believe everyone’s time is equally valuable.
Upcoming Appointments Via Phone/Text Message/Email
Missed Appointments: Broken appointments represent a cost to us, to you, and to other patients who could have been seen in the time set aside for you. We reserve the right to charge a fee for canceled or missed appointments. We request 24 hours notice for cancellation of appointments.
A fee may be charged for a second missed appointment. The third consecutive missed appointment will result in discharge from the practice.
For new patients, a fee may be charged if the FIRST appointment is missed.
Copayments, coinsurance and deductible payments are due at the time of service. There may be an additional balance due after your insurance payments are applied to your account. Please remember that your insurance policy is a contract between you and your insurance company. We are not a party to that contract. All outstanding balances greater than 90 days old will be turned over to a collection agency unless prior arrangements have been made with this office. You agree to reimburse us the fees of any collection agency, which may be based on a percentage at a maximum of 25 % of the debt, and all costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, we incur in such collection efforts. We have implemented a policy which enables you to maintain your credit card information securely on file with Eastside Children’s Clinic, PLLC. In providing us with your credit card information, you are giving Eastside Children’s Clinic, PLLC permissions to automatically charge your credit card on file for co-pay for any person you have listed on these forms. If your insurance provider has paid their portion of your bill or for any other person listed and there is a balance owed, Eastside Children’s Clinic, PLLC will notify you via phone/mail. If by the final billing notice/90 days, we do not receive a response from you on payment, any balance owed will be charged to your credit card. A copy of the charge will be sent by mail to you. This in no way compromises your ability to dispute a charge or question your insurance company’s determination of payment. (Families with basic medicaid are exempt from this policy)
We are obligated by law to protect your privacy and we will do our utmost to fulfill that duty to you. We will abide by all the terms in this notification but we reserve the right to change the terms of this notice and the personal health information it protects. You are entitled to a copy of those changes. You may always see the current notice posted in our office and on our website at www.childrensclinicofwyo.com
We will do our very best to make certain your rights are protected and we carry out our responsibilities to you. If you have any complaint, we encourage you to contact us. It is our sincere desire to preserve your privacy and fulfill our duties. We will take no retaliatory action against any person for exercising their right to the resolution of a grievance. To the contrary we encourage your comments and criticisms. If we cannot resolve the issue for you, you have the right to file a grievance and make a complaint to the US Department of Health & Human Services.

Efficiency through the use of technology
You will be encouraged to consult our website, register for and use our patient portal, and effectively use automated reminders for appointments and for routine care/immunizations that are due.
We at Children’s Clinic of Wyomissing have no doubt in the effectiveness of vaccines to prevent serious illness and to save lives.
The safety of our vaccines has been established though numerous scientific studies. Based on all available literature, evidence and current studies, we can confidently say that vaccines do not cause autism or other developmental disabilities.
We feel firmly that all children and young adults should receive all of the
recommended vaccines according to the schedule published by the Centers for Disease Control and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
All children must complete their primary series of immunizations by two years of age unless medically contraindicated.
Finally, if you should absolutely refuse to vaccinate your child fully by 2 years of age despite all our efforts, we will ask you to find another health care provider who shares your views
